Stubby Squid and Friends

Post by Scubie Doo »

I was going through my photos from a recent dive at Redondo and noticed a "lid" on the stubby squids eye. I knew the squids eyes opened up in the dark (with my red focus light). But I did not know they actually overlapped the top eyelid. Very interesting.

Yelloweye has also commented on Midshipman fish in the water column. I noticed this "Jabba the Hut" looking critter chilling about 4-5 feet above the sea floor.

And finally! After 3 years of underwater photography, I finally got a clear photo of a Decorated Warbonnet :-)

Geez man, what terrible photos...you're simply going to have to return to the water and shoot some better ones. You have no choice. I suggest Thursday ;)

Thanks, I appreciate the constructive and honest feedback :) I am hoping to make the Thursday dive as my travel plans changed this week.
