Something you won't find in Puget Sound

Post by Huskychemist »

Went for a dive today and saw this...
Green Sea Turtle
Green Sea Turtle

As for the ID, I think it's a green sea turtle, Chelonia mydas.

This was at the same dive site where I spotted a pipefish and three seahorses on my last day of diving there...so this is turning into a productive site for cool critters.

Hope you don't mind me doing this (and I won't do it again), but recently on the board there was that discussion about processing photos, and it sounded like you would consider the idea of processing pictures, so I thought I would show you an example. You took a nice picture, but with a little processing with Photoshop Elements, I think the resulting picture is richer, and your skills as a photographer come through better.

I don't mind. In fact, when I posted, I wondered if anybody would take the picture and 'tweak" it a bit to show me an example.

Definitely a better picture in terms of colors.

Thanks. I'm still undecided on heading down that path...

Photoshop is fun. You can also download "Gimp" for free, which has many similar functions and some of it's own.

Can I play too? With apologies to Huskychemist and Andy Warhol...
